Morgan's First Hospital Trip

Well, the day after Christmas was not a very fun one for these Millers. Morgan had vomited after I put him to bed on Christmas Eve and didn't eat normally on Christmas day, so we were getting a little worried about our little boy, as he was getting pretty dehydrated. He woke us up around 2:00 a.m. on the 26th vomiting again and had not had a wet diaper in too many hours, so we loaded up and headed to the Children's Mercy ER. Long story short, he was so dehydrated that the nurses couldn't get an IV to work in his arm or hand because his veins would collapse, so they had to start one in his head. It was a LONG and trying morning for all 3 of us, but after 2 bags of fluids, some Pedialyte and some steriods we finally went home around noon. Go big or go home, right?! Here are pictures we took with our phones while in the ER. I'm happy to report that he was feeling back to normal just a few days later!

Christmas Day!

Even though Morgan had a flu bug of some sort, he still looked and acted totally normal all day, except for eating and drinking his normal amounts. We should have known something was 'off' when he saw his bottle, but didn't cry like usual! :) We enjoyed the morning and afternoon at home and then went over to Amy's for some more family time. I love that Morgan gets to spend these special holidays with so many people who love him. Enjoy some pictures of our cutie's first Christmas!

Christmas Eve!

Poor Morgan caught a bug a couple of days before Christmas and Trevor was working, so we didn't make it to church. I think it was the first time I've ever missed a Christmas Eve service. :( Luckily the church where Morgan was baptized live-streams all of their services, so we were still able to participate in a way. Below are a couple of pictures of my little buddy and how we spent the day.

It was so very hard to have Morgan not feeling well and to miss church, but I did enjoy the extra snuggles at bed time while we watched and listened to Pastor Adam celebrate Jesus' birth

...and second. The week before Christmas, Morgan was able to have a few days of opening gifts. Pictures from Christmas Day and time with my family are still to come. :)

We are so very lucky to have found the Stichnoths (the family I work for) who have really become a second family and Morgan's pseudo-siblings. Trevor, Morgan and I joined John, Anne, Hope and Jack after work one evening for dinner, giggles and a gift exchange. Morgan LOVED the tissue paper!

Next up, Christmas with the Millers! Trevor, Morgan and I joined Trevor's mom, Kaye, older brother Brent, twin brother, Todd, and grandma Nana for dinner, gifts and family fun! This was the first time Morgan and Brent met each other.
