Swimming Lessons

Morgan and I took swimming lessons at the beginning of June.  Trevor was able to come to the second day's lesson and snapped some pictures of our little fish. Morgan LOVES the pool and seems to have 'no fear.' Something that his Grandma Bonnie will tell you he comes by naturally, as I was jumping off the diving board at age 2. Sorry for the amount of pics, I just couldn't narrow them down any more than this! :)

All done for today!

May

Somehow a more than year has gone by already. I wish I could say "I  promise to do a better job of updating this blog in the future," but let's face it, that's not going to happen now that I have a very curious and busy boy. Add to that the fact that I'm growing another Miller, this Mama is quite tired by the end of the day! I do promise to keep posting, but the frequency will probably not improve.

Anyway, here are some of my favorite May moments:

Wrestling with Daddy

They love each other

Isn't this how everyone wears sunglasses?!

Happy boy

Just driving my new motorcycle

Farmin'

Trick rider

The feet. The overalls. The hair.
I love it all!

Snack time with Jack
(I'm pretty sure they both were pounding on the table...)

That face!

Boy in a bucket.
He did this himself. And sorry about the blur...
he was bouncing up and down in his new found toy. :)

Fun play date with two of my girlfriends and their kids
Luke, Tommy, Hope, Morgan, and Jack

Big boy!

Man on the move

A reading lesson from Hope

Future basketball star

Mom, let's get in the car! I'm ready to go!

12 months!

Ok, it hurt a little to type that header. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't trade anything about this last year, but why did it have to go so fast?!

My one year old boy is VERY busy and VERY hard to get to pose for a picture. Even with a balloon prop/distraction. He has been walking for about 3 weeks now, so would rather not stand nicely beside the chalkboard like Mommy asks him to.  :) These were the best pictures we could get out of him this month. Enjoy!  (Birthday party pictures will follow in a different post.)

Here are the stats for this month:
Weight: 25.1 pounds (79%)
Height: 30.2 inches (64%)

Mother's Day

Trevor was working hard all weekend at Kansas Speedway for the NASCAR race, so Morgan and I headed to Valley Falls Friday night to hang out with my parents. Saturday morning, the 4 of us loaded up and drove to Dwight to spend quality time and Mother's Day with my grandparents. I just love that Morgan and my grandparents get to spend time together--kind of unheard of  these days!

My parents have saved quite a few of the toys my sisters and I played with (genius if you ask me!), and one of Morgan's favorites is the Fisher Price barn. And the plastic cows. Thanks to this love of the cows, he learned how to say 'moo' this weekend. Seeing and hearing the real cows helped his animal lesson. :)

Grandma found a caterpillar!

He'll be walking alone soon!
